Scared of Chaka were one of thise typical best-bands-that-hipsters-never-paid-any-attention-to-until-The-Shins-got-popular-and-then-hipsters-noticed-(Yanul)-Dave-Hernandez-was-in-a-band-before-The-Shins-and-then-pretended-to-have-known-about-Scared-Of-Chaka-all-along-even-though-they-didn't-because-well-that's-just-what-hipsters-do.

    does it make me a hipster if i bought the first 2 Scared of Chaka singles and the LP from the band out of their van as it sat in my parent's driveway in 1994?

    cos, you know, i don't wanna be a hipster.

    also, this record just might be the best split in the universe.
