Clinton

I was listening to the Al Franken Show friday morning, as usual, and his guest, on the phone from Africa, was Bill Clinton. Al kept asking questions that were basically invitations for Clinton to take shots at President Bush. Clinton did not take the bait, and instead deflected the issue or complemented Bush. I don’t like Bush, and us civilians should attack his actions when warranted, but it’s just not the job of a former President to take easy cheap shots, and Clinton did not. Clinton has taken Bush to task on many important issues, but he’s kept his criticisms substantive and not personal. You will not hear him make fun of Bush’s grammar or his lack of, uh, intelligence. Man I miss that guy as president.
