Christopher Hitchens, who I have an extreme love-hate relationship with, makes a fantastic point in his latest Slate article.
Basically, he argues that if public schools are forced to teach “intelligent design” alongside evolution, then churches should be required to allow space for pro-evolution teachings or pamphlets. If they refuse, they lose their tax exempt status.
Maybe we should call their bluff, after all.
