You know what I hate? When I begin to truly appreciate a band long after they've disbanded. Sigh. Like everything they ever did, this Cavity 7" is crushing.
Thanks to See The World Through Sunken Eyes for the rip.

I have a split with this band & Clairmel.... it was a weird pairing. I haven't listened to that record since all of the Ramones were still alive... I remember liking it. Cavity I think were kind of doomy, now Calirmel were awesome & the greatest bunch of dudes we played with them out at Pabco RD
ReplyDeletedammit. i thought this was gonna be about the pop punk cavity that was on the rocky mountain arsenal comp.
ReplyDeletenot that this cavity is bad...i was always bummed that i can't find anything by the other one...
Josh, what do you have by the Colorado Cavity? I heard them on a Shreds comp, dug 'em, have one 7" but I forgot what it's called.
ReplyDeletethe only thing i have is off the Rocky Mountain Arsenal comp, which is here:
ReplyDeletehttp://mostly.blueskiesabove.us/tunes/rocky-mountain-arsenal/
and i believe is the same song from the Shreds comp.
like i alluded to in my above comment, and as you can imagine, finding stuff by the poppy punk Cavity is nigh impossible with this other, more prolific and quite popular Cavity.
lemme put out some feelers.
Here ya go, josh. http://outofprintpunk.blogspot.com/2008/09/cavity-built-for-human-race-7.html
ReplyDeletetoo funny. that blog is in my regular daily blog check-in, but it hasn't been updated in ages.
ReplyDeletei'm usually pretty savvy with searching for stuff...
thanks for posting this. i've never heard it, but i imagine it's fucking great.
you had a chance to check out any of the Everready i posted?
You check each site individually? I kind of assumed everyone just loaded up Google Reader with mp3 blogs.
ReplyDeleteHave not listened to the Everready. My backlog is crazy, mainly due to mp3 blogs + Google Reader.
nah, i don't read them individually.
ReplyDeletei use the SHIT out of rss feeds on Igoogle.
looks like this:

and i can just check and see new posts as they show up.
(motivated clickers will notice that One Sided War is at the top of the page, second only--and that only due more to frequency of updates than anything else--to Cosmic Hearse.)
at last count i had about 60 or 70. i've been collecting and building the list for a year or three. i may have to check back into google reader, but i dread the thought of migrating them all...
the ones i do read are divided into music, food, comics, news, bikes, politics, and a few other random categories. they don't all update daily, but if they did, i'd prolly have to drop one or two, heh.
i'm definitely interested in a more efficient way to check in.
