Slayer Guitarist Jeff Hanneman dies at 49:

Slayer is devastated to inform that their bandmate and brother, Jeff Hanneman, passed away at about 11AM this morning near his Southern California home. Hanneman was in an area hospital when he suffered liver failure. He is survived by his wife Kathy, his sister Kathy and his brothers Michael and Larry, and will be sorely missed.

One of my best memories is going to see Slayer at the Wilson Theater with my late brother. I remember during War Ensemble, my favorite part was coming, you know, that part during the middle when everything slows down to a chugga chugga and then Tom Araya unleashes "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR", when the god damned power went out. Good times. RIP Jeff. RIP Phil.
