Stupid E-mail of the Week

I always seem to get this dumb ass emails from friends and family members. Let's take a look at the latest:
After hearing that the state of Florida changed its opinion and let a Muslim woman have her picture on her driver's license with her face covered, this is an editorial written by an American citizen, published in a Tampa newspaper. He did quite a job; didn't he?

Read on, please!

IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.
Um, take a look around. We don't worry about who we offend. Have you been asleep?
I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand.
Cut the shit. You ARE anti-immigrant, that's why you are writing this. And they don't need to understand anything you say, because you don't make the rules.
This idea of America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.
This is code for "we are a white, Christian country." Unfortunately for you, not for long.

We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!

Actually, "we" speak all those languages. The vast majority of the people who emigrate here do there best to learn the language. Stop focusing on those who don't, and while you're at it, try to learn a second language, since you seem to think it's so fucking easy. Who is this directed at anyways? People who don't speak English? Well, how the fuck are they gonna read this?
"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.
You obviously know nothing about the founding fathers. Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, Paine, Hamilton, and Madison were all deists. Most of them mocked the notion of Jesus Christ being the Son of God. God is part of our culture, for some that's the Chritian God, for some it is Allah, for some it is Buddha, for some it is the Earth, for some it is no God at all, and some will tell you they just don't fucking know. You and the Taliban, with your "our way is the only way", have more in common than you think. Oh, and while I'm at it, "Christian" principles? Have you read the Bible or do you just like to pretend you have? Because Christian principles would include not judging others, kindness towards your fellow man, and helping the poor.

If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from.
You know what? You've convinced me. Gimme a stipend to survive on while I look for work, and fuck it, I'll go. I'll be back when the dicks who think like you are out of power.
This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle.
I am a citizen, so I am included in the OUR. I I don't agree with a fucking xenophobic thing you've said. So, uh, like, fuck you and stuff.
Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great American freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.
Pay me, bitch. I'll leave.
