The Bottom Feeders - Porn Star Haircut EP (1995 Get Hip)

I'll forever confuse these dudes with The Bar Feeders, which is dumb, akin to confusing The San Francisco Giants with the Los Angeles Dodgers, if you're into SF (Bar Feeders) / LA (Bottom Feeders) comparisons.

Garage punk from Los Angeles.

Pile-Up - Hard To Say EP (1993 Theologian)

First heard "Hard To Say" on one of those early Theologian Records comps.  Always liked the song, but it kind of just faded from my memory until recently. This is very early 90's - kinda grungy, kinda moody. Reminds me of Wool in a way. I know absolutely nothing about this band, but there is a very soft spot in my heart for stuff like this.

Red #9 - No Hope? (1995 Farmhouse Records)

Or, alternatively, Red Number Nine. 90's female pop-punk from Saratoga, CA.  My memory is a little foggy, but it seemed like every loved them for a minute (they were on the Shreds Vol. 2 and Slice Of Lemon comps) and then they just kind of disappeared. Which is a shame, because they were great. There are obvious comparisons to be made, but I ain't going to make them.

Fun fact: Guitarist/Vocalist Michelle Mallinger went on to become a Soprano.
