The Bad Form - S/T EP (2000 Mad At The World Records)

This one is a little hard to pin down. I't mainly swaggering, confident mid-tempo punk a la Load, but there are the occasional spazzy breakdowns ("Safe As Cancer") and bluesy punk leanings ("Kill The Clock", "Dance For The Devil").

Recording notes:

  • I don't know if it's an issue with my system or the record, but all songs are heavy on left channel, even after normalizing in Audacity. If future rips show the same pattern, we may have an issue!
  • The end of "Dance For The Devil" ends abruptly because there was a locked groove.

  1. Lights Out
  2. Dying In A Dead Forest
  3. Safe As Cancer
  4. Kill The Clock
  5. Dance For The Devil

VA - Where Are They Now File (1991 Pop Bus Records)

Where Are They Now File album cover

Bootleg comp, all live tracks, all covers except for Nomeansno. The sleeve is actually a bootleg of multiple zines, including articles cribbed from Absolutely Zippo, Excedera, Madwomen, Re-Ignition, and Homocore. The Jello/Chumbawumba track is a throwaway, but the rest are solid (especially L7 covering GnR). This is a little crackly at times.

  1. Jello Biafra w/ Chumbawumba - Homeless Hotel
  2. NoMeansNo - I Want It All
  3. L7 - I Used To Love Him
  4. Gray Matter - I Am The Walrus
