The Bad Form - S/T EP (2000 Mad At The World Records)

This one is a little hard to pin down. I't mainly swaggering, confident mid-tempo punk a la Load, but there are the occasional spazzy breakdowns ("Safe As Cancer") and bluesy punk leanings ("Kill The Clock", "Dance For The Devil").

Recording notes:

  • I don't know if it's an issue with my system or the record, but all songs are heavy on left channel, even after normalizing in Audacity. If future rips show the same pattern, we may have an issue!
  • The end of "Dance For The Devil" ends abruptly because there was a locked groove.

  1. Lights Out
  2. Dying In A Dead Forest
  3. Safe As Cancer
  4. Kill The Clock
  5. Dance For The Devil

  1. It's slightly bass heavy, but the left/right balance seems normal, at least for a sloppy, semi-lo-fi recording, so hopefully it's not your gear. Personally, i really like this record. I believe these guys were from New Jersey, and it sounds like they took a cue from their fellow statesmen predecessors, adding an early 21st century twist to classic Misfits style punk. Thanks!
