- Obama says something that, if you take a breath and think about it logically, makes perfect sense.
- Neo-cons flip out about the sensible thing Obama said.
- Time passes.
- The people who flipped out about Obama's sensible idea, now embrace it as their own sensible idea.
Happened with a timetable for Iraq, happened over Pakistan's borders, and now it's
happening with Iran.

The five -- Colin Powell, Madeleine Albright, Warren Christopher, James Baker and Henry Kissinger -- all said they favored talking to Iran as part of a strategy to stop Tehran's development of a nuclear weapons program.
