Anand Giridharas seems to think that using "So" to start a sentence originated in Silicon Valley in the late 90's. I seem to remember that George Tabb opened a whole lot of his Maximum Rock'N'Roll columns with "So". Am I misremembering? Can someone please confirm this?
I don't know, but those old George Tabb columns were awesome! I read a MRR a few months back & he wanked on about video games...
