when ever I go to a punk show & see some of the younger kids with the patches on their pants it always surprises me the bands from the 90's that the kids like & the ones they have passed on.
Aus Rotten, Ass Rash, Assuck, Naked Aggression were bands I liked but was never too crazy about... funny how the bands that attracted dirty people are remembered... one thing that remains the same is that I hate gutter punks
To be fair, I don't think Boris The Sprinkler ever had and patches
and if they did, they probably said "I'M INTO PUNK ROCK AND I THROW LIKE A FAG" or "THE CADILLAC OF VAGINAS" or "I'M A FAG! I'M A FAG! I QUIT THE BAND!"
To my ears, this is one of the few pop-punk bands of that era that will never sound dated. Saucer to Saturn is a classic.
Btw, the sound on their records was always stellar -- I remember "Simple Studios" being credited on each of them, and with engineering duties seemingly done by a band member. Anyone know if this was the case? Was it actually a real studio, or just someone with the gear and know-how?
kids are fuckers nowadays because they have passed over Boris The Sprinkler!
ReplyDeleteI remember when I had to listen to BTS uphill. Both ways! In the snow!
