these were my boys!!! we used to go see them about once a month whenever they were in Lexington, KY! I lived about 2 hours from em!! Le me know if you need anymore of there stuff! Ive got them alll! Thanks!
a friend recently gave me a split with them and another band i'd never heard of. it's on my list of stuff to rip and post. it's super super old and you can hear it.
also, i know that tim from mutant pop is pretty adamant about his records not getting posted on the internets. i asked him about it for my own blog, and he gave me the rundown. basically, he started the label and ran it the way he did (limited pressings of colored vinyl, subsequent pressings on black, similar artwork as if the whole set of records is more like one big set, etc) because he wanted it to be collectible. ripping it to the internet sort of takes away from that.
i'm not making that argument, i'm just saying i've seen him make it, and he said it directly to me in an email.
Well, I think the physical records themselves will always be collectible. I don't think it's in anyone's interest to keep the music in a limited clique. But I will always remove anything on request. I recently had a DCMA takedown of a scratchy Beach Boys 7". That kinda sucked, as a simple email to me would have accomplished the same thing.
oh, i'm with you that people aren't collecting the records for the tunes that are on them, since you can likely find every one of them online somewhere with about 20 minutes of searching.

ReplyDeletei don't think this has been reissued, but i agree.
ReplyDeletei think it has to do with trying to fit too much music onto one side of a 7" record.
connie dungs rule.
I think I have most of the 7-inches, but none of the full lengths.
